Why it's free (the honest version)

We're not a charity, and the site isn't a loss-leader trick. Here's exactly how the math works — and why it's a better deal for you than paying $3,000–$5,000 up front.

Free really means free. You can stay on Free forever.

You'll be on Free ($0) — your site lives at <yourname>.letsgosite.com, with a small "Built with LetsGoSite" footer link. No credit card, no trial timer, no "oh actually it's $X/mo after 30 days." Stay there as long as you want.

We make money when some of you upgrade. Most don't, and that's fine.

Our hosting is dirt-cheap to run per site — global edge network, bank-grade encryption, no per-seat fees. The business model assumes most Free users will never pay us — and a meaningful slice will, on their own timeline, when they want one of these: your own domain, our branding removed, more traffic headroom, an estimator, an AI receptionist that answers your phone. That upgrade slice covers the cost of running everyone else's free site, with margin to spare.

We get it — starting out is hard. Keep your costs low.

Most of the businesses we work with are in the scrappy early phase: bootstrapping, watching every dollar, allergic to another monthly subscription. That's exactly why Free exists. Launch on us, run your business, see what works. We'd rather be the cheap, reliable thing in your corner than another invoice you resent.

As you grow, we grow with you.

When your business gets busier, the site needs to do more — and that's when upgrading actually pays for itself. Your first real customer types in the URL and sees .letsgosite.com (→ time for Lite and your own domain). You start running ads and want your own pixels (→ Solo). Quotes start eating your evenings (→ Growth for the estimator). Calls go to voicemail and one missed lead a week is worth more than the plan (→ Pro for the AI receptionist). When the math flips, you move — and we're there with the next thing already built.

Ready to jump ahead? That's great too.

Some owners already know what they need — they've run a business before, they're past the "is this real" phase, they want their own domain and the AI receptionist on day one. If that's you, skip the ladder. Go straight to Lite, Growth, or founding Pro at signup and we'll set you up with a hands-on onboarding call. No "earn it first" gatekeeping. Same team, same care, just a different starting line.

We're good at meeting you where you are.

A solo painter on month one needs a totally different thing than a 6-person HVAC crew that's drowning in leads. We've built for both. The pain points at each stage are real, specific, and we've solved them before. Whichever tier fits your business today is the right one — and the day it stops fitting, we'll tell you.

The upgrade ladder, if and when you want it.

Solo ($29/mo) removes our badge + unlimited traffic + your own tracking pixels. Lite ($99/mo) adds your own domain + email + human-in-the-loop edits. Growth ($297/mo) adds estimator + reviews + monthly updates. Pro ($347/mo founding / $497/mo regular) adds the AI receptionist + missed-call text-back stack (alpha) we're rolling out with the first cohort, with a hands-on setup call. You move when you want; we don't push you.

Just want a domain? Add it à la carte.

Not ready to jump to Lite ($99/mo) just for the domain? Stay on Free or Solo and bolt on what you actually need: Custom domain only ($15/mo — yourname.com, registration + DNS + SSL + renewals all-in) or Domain + email bundle ($20/mo — adds one real you@yourname.com inbox for just +$5/mo). Add extra inboxes (info@, billing@) at $5/mo, up to 4 more. Everything's manageable from your /admin once you sign up.

Why this is better for you than a $3k upfront site.

A $3k upfront site is two things: a big cash outlay you might not have, and a "we're done" relationship after launch. Starting on Free and only paying for what you actually use keeps us honest — we have to keep earning your upgrade, every month. Either side can walk anytime. Most paying customers stay 18+ months because the site keeps making them money.

Why this works for us.

Free is the cheapest, warmest top-of-funnel we've ever found. "Free working website" converts way better than "hire us for $3,000." Customers who launch on Free and later upgrade are the best customers we have — they've already seen the product work for their business. The math: a small % of free users upgrading at $29–$497/mo, retained for 18+ months, comfortably covers everyone else.

What if I don't like it?

Cancel anytime — and on Free there's nothing to cancel. You keep the site files. We're not going to chain you to a contract — that's how you end up with bad reviews.
