Frequently asked questions
If something's still unclear, just apply — we'll answer over email.
Is it really free? ▾
Yes. 100% free, forever. No card, no trial timer, no required upgrade. Your site lives at
<yourname>.letsgosite.com on our global edge network — fast, encrypted, dirt-cheap for us to run. If your business eventually outgrows Free and you want a custom domain, your own ad pixels, an estimator, or an AI receptionist, we have optional paid tiers. But you never have to upgrade. What's the catch? ▾
Honestly, there isn't one. We only build sites for businesses we can actually help — about 30% of applicants. If you're accepted, your site is free, period. We make our money when a slice of customers eventually upgrade for features they couldn't get on Free as their business grows. Most don't — and that's totally fine.
How long does it take? ▾
Application to launched site: usually 24–48 hours after acceptance. We review within 48 hours, send a brief intake, then build, you review, we launch.
Who owns the site after it's launched? ▾
You do. The files are yours. If you ever leave us, you can take them and host them anywhere.
Why are the optional upgrades monthly instead of a one-time fee? ▾
The paid tiers are optional, and they're monthly because: one, that's way cheaper than a $3k upfront build; two, it keeps us aligned — we keep shipping improvements, you keep getting value; three, recurring revenue lets us run this as a real business, which means we're still here a year from now. Cancel anytime.
Can I use my own domain? ▾
Your free site lives at
<yourname>.letsgosite.com. When you want a custom domain, that's part of the optional Lite tier ($99/mo) — we cover the first year on a new domain or point your existing one. Totally optional; Free works great on the subdomain. What if I want changes after launch? ▾
Email us. Small edits (phone numbers, hours, copy tweaks, new photos) we ship same-day. Bigger redesigns or new sections are scoped separately.
Do you do e-commerce? ▾
Up to 5 products as part of the free build. Bigger catalogs are a paid add-on — we'll usually point you to Shopify and integrate from there.
What if I'm rejected? ▾
It happens. We'll explain why and, if relevant, point you to lower-cost DIY alternatives (Squarespace, Wix, Carrd). No hard feelings.
Why are you doing this? ▾
Honest answer: free websites are the cheapest, warmest top-of-funnel we've ever found. A small slice of customers eventually upgrade for features they can't get on Free — that more than covers the cost of hosting everyone else, with margin. The math is on /why-its-free if you want to nerd out on it.
